Every story of healing begins with a single moment of connection
Hi, I’m George
Welcome to my private practice, where I guide individuals through grief, loss, and personal growth.
My work is rooted in counselling, grief education, and breathwork coaching, shaped by my rich involvement in theatre and the arts. These experiences have deeply influenced my approach to self-discovery and change.
My journey into helping others began during my youth, volunteering in geriatric hospital wards, organizing community outreach programs, and tutoring at-risk teenagers. These early experiences revealed the power of connection and compassion, laying the foundation for the work I do today.
Stepping into the Spotlight
Theatre and the arts burst into my life with incredible intensity at 21. Over the next three decades, I carved out a dynamic career in the entertainment and arts scenes of Singapore and Europe. I wore many hats—celebrity judge, theatre director, choreographer, singer, and actor. Along the way, I took on creative director and consultant roles, collaborating with theatre companies and arts organizations, always seeking new ways to express and connect.
A Season of Loss and Awakening
In 2018, my life took an unexpected turn. I was plunged into a series of personal losses that turned my world upside down. Naively, I held on to the belief that I could rise above it all as I had before. But this time, I couldn’t. I lost appetite, sleep evaded me, and I felt adrift—endlessly replaying events in my mind, hoping for a different outcome. Even breathing felt difficult at times.
At around the same time, an old darkness from my childhood began to unravel, and I realised that neither humour nor distractions nor self-affirmation could hold back the floodgate.
Therapy: A Path to Self-Discovery
We often don’t think to change until change is the only option we have. I reached out for help and began embarking on a process of internal unpacking, taking small steps towards recognising life’s fragility and caring for my own brokenness.
Therapy not only rescued me but also opened my eyes to its creative and transformative potential. Eventually, I returned to school as an adult learner to pursue a Master’s degree in Counselling. Along the way, I became captivated by the deep impact of grief and loss on individuals. With a renewed sense of purpose, I trained with world-renowned grief expert David Kessler and became a certified Grief Educator, committed to helping others navigate their own pain and loss.
Where Breath Becomes Expression
As I delved deeper into healing, I saw how my background in theatre and performance—where presence, voice and breath are central—naturally wove into my therapy practice. These elements allow me to blend therapeutic knowledge with creativity, empathy, and somatic awareness, creating a holistic approach that supports my clients in navigating their emotional landscapes.
Looking back, I see how each step—through both the highs and the lows—has brought me to where I am today. My diverse experiences have shaped a unique ability to guide others through their healing and self-discovery.
